Charger Health Center at Ansonia High School
Charger Health Center at Ansonia High School is a licensed, comprehensive primary health facility located at Ansonia High School. Services are aimed at, but not limited to, students who do not have access to a family doctor, or whose families have little or no health insurance.
The Center is operated by Griffin Hospital and offers primary medical and mental health services to Ansonia High School students.

Who can use the Health Center?
The entire student body of Ansonia High School is eligible to use the Center however; parental permission is required prior to accessing services. -

Who staffs the Health Center?
The Center is staffed by a multidisci-plinary team of professionals who have expertise in pediatric/adolescent healthcare. The Charger Health Center staff consists of a physician assistant, a social worker, and a medical assistant. Care is supervised by Griffin Hospital physicians. -
Is there a fee to use the Health Center?
Health Center fees are based upon a sliding scale and the students insurance coverage. No student will be denied service due to their inability to pay. -
What is the Center’s confidentiality policy?
Confidentiality requests are hon-ored, however students are encouraged to share their health issues and questions with their parents.
About the School-Based Health Center Program
The Charger Health Center is part of the statewide School Based Health Center (SBHC) program offered by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health which aims to expand the delivery of healthcare to Connecticuts children.
