Griffin Health is committed to providing a digital experience that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are continually improving the accessibility and user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards and guidelines.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA and Level AAA. This website strives to meet WCAG 2.1 at a level AA rating. We seek to ensure that our websites are accessible to people who use assistive technology such as screen readers and speech input software and those unable to use a mouse or pointing device.
Accessibility features that can be found on this website include:
- Color contrasts that assist with accessibility
- Page layouts are responsive and will be resized according to user device and width of the browser window
- Headings and labels are coded so they are descriptive and indicate visual importance, which can be read by screen readers
- Links formatted with accessible names that are meaningful within context
- Tables are laid out in tabular form, with headings and summaries that make them more accessible
- We use cascading style sheets (CSS) to determine the presentation of our website – this assists those using screen reading devices
- Images that provide alternative text that can be read by screen readers
This website has been built using code that is compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. Because of this, it displays correctly on current browser versions and will also do so on future versions.
