Healthy Cooking with Herbs
Griffin Center for Healthy Living Teaching Kitchen presents Cooking with Healthy Herbs will be Thurs., April 17 at 5 p.m. at The Griffin Center for Healthy Living at Quarry Walk, 300 Oxford Road, Oxford.
Join us as we dive into the topic of culinary herbs. We’ll discuss pros & cons of growing vs. buying herbs and using fresh vs. dry herbs. Former executive director of Massaro Farm and sustainable nutrition expert Caty Poole will discuss how herbs are powerful tools in maintaining optimal health. She’ll review the best ways to store herbs and prepare Spring Potato Nettle Soup and Meadow Magic Tea for attendees to try at home using seasonal herbs, which are often the first items we harvest from home gardens.
