Jocelyn Mendes, PA-C

Jocelyn Mendes, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Griffin Faculty Physicians OBGYN in Derby, CT. She provides comprehensive women’s health care, including prenatal and postpartum management, contraceptive counseling, IUD and Nexplanon insertions, colposcopy, and assisting in obstetric and gynecologic surgeries.

Jocelyn believes in taking the time to truly understand her patients, creating a welcoming space where they feel heard, valued, and supported in their healthcare journey. She is deeply committed to providing compassionate care that addresses both immediate concerns and also uncovers the underlying factors that impact women’s health and well-being.

She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the New York Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Suffolk University. In addition to her clinical practice, she serves as an Adjunct Professor at Sacred Heart University’s Physician Assistant Program, where she mentors and educates future healthcare providers, instilling in them the same patient-centered values that guide her own practice.

A Connecticut native, Jocelyn is honored to care for patients in the community where she grew up. She takes pride in forming meaningful relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel empowered and confident in their care.
