Aisha Khan MD, returns to Griffin Health after serving as a Fellow in General Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine at the Department of Internal Medicine, at Northwell Health, which encompasses Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital in Long Island, NY. Concurrently, Dr. Khan held the position of Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell since July 2022. Additionally, since July 2023, Dr. Khan has been the Track Lead for the Lifestyle Medicine Residency Track at the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Northwell Health.
Aisha Khan is board-eligible for the American Board of Obesity Medicine and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Khan is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) since September 2022 and is ACLS and ECFMG certified.
During medical school, Dr. Khan was awarded distinctions in Physiology, Behavioral Sciences, Ethics, and Gynecology and Obstetrics, while also and conducted numerous research programs in on topics such as human microbiome, multiple sclerosis, and rheumatology. Aisha Khan, MD is a member of several professional societies, including the Obesity Medicine Association, the Society of General Internal Medicine, and the American College of Physicians. As well as being a participating member in scholarly articles published in medical journals such as Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), Rheumatology International, and Infectious Disease Clinics of North America.
